MSNBC host and frequent Trump attacker Joe Scarborough may have thought the mysterious body that turned up in his office all those years ago was a thing of the past. Hey may have never expected to hear the name Lori Klausutis ever again. Unfortunately for Scarborough, President Trump reminded the world of the literal skeleton in Scarborough’s office.
Lori Klausutis was an intern who worked in Scarborough’s office in 2010 when he was still a Republican congressman. Rumors of an affair swirled around the two at the time, and ultimately it led to Scarborough leaving the Republican Party to join the Democrats.
One night in July, Klausutis’ body mysteriously turned up in Scarborough’s office. While investigators noted that a paperweight inscribed with Scarborough’s signature had been removed from the room, they said that the “massive head trauma” was likely caused by a fall and the cause of death was officially listed as “undetermined.”
“So now that Matt Lauer is gone when will the Fake News practitioners at NBC be terminating the contract of Phil Griffin?” President Trump tweeted Wednesday. “And will they terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the ‘unsolved mystery’ that took place in Florida years ago? Investigate!”

That evening, the Justice Department did indeed open an investigation into the 2010 murder.
“We are determined to get to the bottom of this,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions told reporters at a small gathering outside the Justice Department cafeteria. “How this went unsolved is beyond me.”
“Morning Joe’s” official response to Trump’s mention of the allegations is that they are “bizarre” (but very real) and that he doesn’t want to talk about it…without a lawyer present anyway:
Looks like I picked a good day to stop responding to Trump's bizarre tweets. He is not well. https://t.co/XJhW5ZHNfs

Ever since the murder, Klausutis’ family has been calling for justice, and it looks like thanks to President Trump they may get it when Scarborough is locked up.
